I never was one for eating fruits and veggies. Now I love them!
Have you ever seen the show MasterChef with Gordon Ramsay? If you haven’t seen the show, when the chefs are ready to start cooking they are told that they have a pantry filled with fresh fruits and veggies for them to use. Then the camera pans the pantry and the way the food is set up it is absolutely beautiful. That show caused me to start looking at the produce department in my local grocery store differently.
To be honest, some of the veggies I believed I wouldn’t like if I tried them, I didn’t like. I don’t like asparagus, green beans, or the dreaded daikon potato.
Now I love broccoli, peppers, yams, onions, carrots, tomatoes, peas, different lettuces, parsley, cilantro and more. (I eat broccoli for breakfast!)
Eat the veggies and fruits that you enjoy! Try a different one every now and then. You may be surprised at how good they taste. It’s okay if you don’t like all of them.
Stir-fry veggies are the easiest and tastiest way to get your vegetables in. Just don’t make the mistake of soaking them in some sweet sauce. Learn to use spices and oils to make the taste come alive. I use sesame oil, garlic and Chinese 5 spice for seasoning. Delicious!
I little bit of oil will go along way with stir-fry!
