Okay ladies, what do you have planned for Friday or Saturday night?

You’ve worked hard all week and now it’s time to make time for you and your friends.

There’s a song for that: Girls Night Out

Do you get together with girlfriends and have a usual routine? Do you meet up with a larger group of friends and head on out to a restaurant or other eating establishments?

What do the single ladies these days do for a girl’s night? (I’ve been married for 16 years, so I need a refresher.)

If you are thinking about starting a journey to become healthier and more fit, why not start with you and your girlfriends? If you have had a discussion with each other, or even if you haven’t, about eating healthier and putting some action into your activities, why not start this weekend? Come on, this is the perfect time to begin.

Plan a meal and an activity. Design invitations. Use pretty dishes and glasses. You could even get dressed up. Have a theme for the evening. Make getting healthy fun! You can do it!!

I would love to hear from you. Did you plan a healthy and active time together with your friends? What did you do and what did you eat?

Now, if you go to a restaurant this weekend, try something new on the menu and split it with a friend. You will have a nice meal but at half the calories and fat. Here is your reward: if you split your meal with a friend, then you can have a whole dessert! How about that for a different way of getting a healthy start to the weekend? Woo Hoo!

Here is a healthy dessert to get your thought process started.

2 oz.  (1/4 of 8-oz. pkg.) PHILADELPHIA Cream Cheese, softened
2 Tbsp.  strawberry jam
1/4 cup  thawed COOL WHIP Whipped Topping
1/2 cup  sliced fresh strawberries

MIX cream cheese and jam in medium bowl until well blended. Stir in COOL WHIP.

SPOON 1/4 cup strawberries into each of two parfait or dessert glasses.

TOP with the cream cheese mixture.
