When October begins my thoughts turn to that food that is good on a cool and windy day. I think of things like banana bread, chili and cornbread, pot roast, hot cherry pie.
This year I want to look at the fruits and vegetables that are in season this month and find recipes that are healthy, tasty, and great for losing weight.

Pears (late season)
I’m going to take these three at a time. So let’s start with the apples.
Apples have become one of my favorite foods. I eat two or three a day. I love them with peanut butter or almond butter.
