National Maple Syrup Day provides us with the opportunity to enjoy and appreciate this delicious American treat. This sweet and unique flavor originated in America. Native American Indians were the first to harvest and boil the sap of the maple tree into a thick syrup.
I think Christmas breakfast is the perfect time for Maple Syrup. It has to be the real thing. No artificial flavored brown liquid to go on those hot and fluffy pancakes. If you have never had the real maple syrup, please indulge. Yes it does have a lot of calories, but it isn’t loaded with chemicals. It is fantastic served warm!
Maple syrup is very very good on fresh vanilla ice cream.
