Quote of the Day:
Become addicted to constant and never-ending self-improvement. Anthony J. D’Angelo
I’m on the band wagon for self-improvement! I fell off the wagon about a year or two ago. So, two years and 30 pounds later, it is time to get my butt in gear and get back to my healthy weight and size.
I love it that September is self-improvement month. It is the time of the when the season starts to change and we know the holidays are coming. I think almost everyone wants to look and feel better for our favorite time of the year.
I want to look at a handful of ways we can improve. I’m going to do a few of these each day, so we aren’t overwhelmed with so many ideas. Only choose a few of these to do at a time. Pick new ones when you master the first ones you have chosen.
Are you ready to improve?
- Wake up early. I completely believe in this one. I’m up before the birds everyday. By the time noon rolls around I have already completed a full days work, and then that allows me to work on other areas of my life. Unless you are super tired and you need to stay in bed, get up! It may not be that you are tired, your body may be telling you that you need more activity. Try getting up at 5 or 6 am. You’ll be glad you did!
- Have an exercise routine. You can set a daily or weekly exercise routine. You choose, but make the choice to get moving!
- Learn from your friends. Do you have a friend that has a quality that you admire? Maybe you have a friend that is active and has a healthy lifestyle. Maybe you have a friend that is really good with money. How about the friend that is really organized? If you do, take advantage of their knowledge and ask them for help in the areas that you need to improve. If they are a true friend they will want to help and they will be flattered that you asked them.
There you have it! My first three items that we can start improving. Do any of these interest you? If so, which one?
