To lose weight the biggest thing you can do is learn to cook healthy foods at home. Your meals are not going to be extravagant when you are losing weight and eating healthy. They need to be very simple and fresh. Fresh and colorful are the keys to success.

When I started losing my weight I made chicken stir-fry. It had everything in it I needed and I love it. I would eat chicken stir-fry morning, noon and night. I’m not kidding.

Pizza made at home is fantastic. If you don’t have a bread machine I suggest you get one. You can pick them up at a second hand store for about five bucks. I have two of them.

If you want to get into the habit of eating healthy bread, get a bread machine and a loaf pan. Bake the bread in the loaf pan after it is done processing in the bread machine. If you let the bread machine bake the bread you will get a block of bread with a hole in it.

Get an indoor grill! I have worn out four of these appliances. I prepare all of my meats on Sunday for the week and the indoor grill is a must have.

Prepare as much of your food for the week ahead of time (on the weekend) to save you time and money. You will never be wondering what you are going to have for breakfast, lunch or dinner and you don’t have to worry about being too tired or too busy to cook because almost all the work is already done for you.

This process will set you up for success in meeting your goals for losing weight and creating a healthy lifestyle.

Where are you in getting in the exercise habit? Exercise at least two times a week. What is the best time to exercise for you? Figure that out and pencil it in on your calendar.

You need to do aerobic exercise and weightlifting exercises. Start of with light weights and work your way up to a heavier one.

Put squats and lunges into to your workout! This exercise will trim your thighs, hips and butt.

With squats and lunges you need to learn how to do these exercises properly. Find a video or a trainer to help you with these exercises.
